The Classic Blues Show

8pm Start    Tickets £14
From BB King to Buddy Guy, from Jimmy Rogers to Jimi Hendrix - The Classic Blues Show celebrates the finest blues music from the last 60 years.
This six-piece band of experienced musicians has its roots all firmly anchored in the blues. This is the blues of not just the Delta, Chicago, and elsewhere in the USA but also the blues of Ealing, Dartford and wherever else formed the British Blues Boom of the 60's and beyond.
No frills, no gimmicks, no fads, no fashions, just stompin' good blues, in the finest traditions, played by an unpretentious and professional outfit, battle hardened by decades of experience on and off the road.  This band has seen it, done it and got the T shirt.  Entertainers in the finest tradition, making accessible music for an audience to lose itself in the thrill of a live performance. These band mates have paid their dues and honed their craft through a range of musical endeavours, from rock to jazz and most things in between, but bonded by a common love of the most universal music of the lot. The blues.
Driving guitar riffs, matched by a jazz-themed horn section, make this an evening to remember.

Live music from SARAH McQUAID

Doors 7.30 Start 8pm    Earlybird Ticket £13 / £14 Standard
“One of the most instantly recognisable voices in current music … Shades of Joni Mitchell in a jam with Karen Carpenter and Lana Del Rey.” —Trust The Doc
Sarah McQuaid’s lush, chocolatey voice combines with her engaging personality, “subtle mastery onstage” (Huffington Post) and “brilliant musicianship” (fRoots) on acoustic and electric guitars, piano and (occasionally) drum to create a truly immersive experience.
Born in Spain, raised in Chicago, holding dual Irish and American citizenship and now settled in rural England, she brings the eclecticism of her background to her “captivating, unorthodox songwriting” (PopMatters) and choice of material, spanning genres and defying categorisation.
All this is abundantly demonstrated by her new live album and video series The St Buryan Sessions — but needs to be savoured in person to be fully appriciated, described as “a wonderful, expressive and intimate live album from a consummate performer.” by Folk Radio UK and made it onto “Best of 2021” lists on three continents.
