Location
The Globe is located in the renowned book town of Hay on Wye. Nestled between the Powys and Herefordshire border, Hay on Wye is an area of outstanding natural beauty, and a rich cultural heritage, providing an idyllic setting for your event.
Main Hall
We know that first impressions count, and you will not be disappointed on arrival at our Main Hall. With double-height ceilings, Georgian period features, and an original pulpit, it is brimming with character. A truly unique space that is deeply rooted in vintage architecture; both modern and quirky in appearance.
For us, the ceremony is the heart of every wedding. Our Main Hall offers a beautiful setting to say your vows, before seamlessly transforming into an atmospheric evening dance space.
Upper Gallery
Overlooking the Main Hall, the Upper Gallery offers a peaceful retreat, ideal for relaxing, socialising, or providing additional seating for your event.
Lower Gallery
The Lower Gallery is a spacious room, beautifully styled with vintage furniture, contemporary art, and a flagstone floor. Perfect for intimate functions of up to 50 guests, with the flexibility to become a welcoming space for evening dancing and conversation.
Garden Area
Our spacious Globe garden is an ideal space for drinks, barbecues, and games, with ample space for marquees. The selection of seating and ambient lighting make it the perfect spot to relax with family and friends.
Out of the way of the cluster and kerfuffle of the road, the garden provides privacy and intimacy as you overlook the beautiful Welsh countryside.
Accommodation
Just a stone's throw away, the Globe at Hay has its own self-catered "Small Brook Cottage". With three bedrooms, there is room for six guests to stay in one of the UK's most desirable towns.
The cottage has been renovated to maintain the original period features whilst bringing the utilities into the 21st century. Think roll-top baths, roaring log fires, and tasteful, period interior design.
